Catherine Gardner is a Community Advocate and Freelance Photojournalist. 

Born and raised in Ottawa, Catherine has lived in numerous areas of Ottawa including four areas of College Ward. She has lived in Bells Corners for the past 10 years.

Catherine is running in the 2010 City of Ottawa Elections for the seat of Councillor in College Ward and is running on a number of issues including; transit, housing, safe communities, health, recreation and the environment, recycling and waste management, pay as you go proactive planning, poverty reduction and inclusion for all!

Education

Catherine  graduated from a number of programs at Algonquin College including;

Volunteer and Community Involvement

Catherine has advocated on a number of issues including accessibiltiy for all, snow removal, safe sidewalks, safe & accessible nature / bike paths, transit, wildlife, safe parks, respect of the dead, etc.  Catherine has used her photography  to demonstrate a number of concerns. http://www.pbase.com/catherinegardner/journalism

Catherine believes that there is a great disconnect between City Council and residents of Ottawa and that change is needed at the Council Table.

Catherine believes in Community and feels she has demonstrated her committment to the residents of Ottawa. Catherine  is the fresh face with fresh ideas which will change our City for the better!
